Welcome to the Psychology Participant Pool!

One of the exciting things you get to try as part of your Psychology experience at Davidson College is being involved in research! As a student in PSY course, you may be required to complete research credits for an assignment/course credit. Your professor may also offer extra credit for research participation. This Moodle page provides information about two options for completing research credits:

Option 1: Participate in a research study. IMPORTANT: If you are not yet 18 years old, you will be ineligible to participate in most research studies. Talk with your instructor about alternate ways to earn credit.

Option 2: Attend a research talk sponsored by the Psychology department.

Refer to your class syllabus for specific details about requirements for research participation for your course, including the number of research credits you need to complete and and what should be turned in to your professor.

You will receive announcements of available research opportunities through this Moodle page. We will send out announcements with information about upcoming research talks; you can also view information about upcoming talks (and access information about previous talks) below. You will also receive an announcement when the first research studies become available. Once studies are available, you can search SONA for available research opportunities and sign up for available studies (see instructions below).

Participating in research can be fun and you may want to share your lab experience with friends. Please do not share any information or details about research studies that you participate in with other people. Doing so could compromise the validity of the research. Thank you for respecting the scientific process in which you are taking part!
