Hispanic Humanities II: Mapping literary and cultural frames & dis/locating gazes

 Course description:

 This FLEX course is designed to introduce students to the literary and cultural analysis of selected readings of Hispanic/Latino texts from the end of XIX century to contemporary times. This semester, the student will explore a relevant body of texts from Spain, Latin America, and US Latino cultural production. The students will engage on close transhistorical and contextual readings, discussing representational strategies in a variety of literary and cultural configurations (poetry, drama, short stories, fiction, testimonial narrative, essays, performance, and film).
