Spanish 272 is an IN PERSON course designed to be a more in-depth introduction to the foundational knowledge and theoretical approaches to Hispanic cultural productions across primary sources, genres, geographical and temporal borders. Spa 272 is designed to introduce students to the literary and cultural analysis of selected readings of Hispanic texts from Spain, US Latino and Latin America. The students will engage on a careful examination of transhistorical and contextual readings discussing textual and representational strategies used in a variety of configurations (poetry, drama, short stories, narrative, essays, painting and film).
