This
hybrid writing course investigates a literary genre via both theory and
practice, operating like a laboratory, emphasizing experimentation, and
embracing making as a way of learning. Together we will read literary theory
and criticism, analyze contemporary narratives, and interview a number of the
writers read (via Zoom or in person). Neither a workshop nor a lecture course,
“Forms of Fiction” will promote writing and reading as acts of play
