This course explores how gender ideologies shape power and knowledge production in the study of culture. Through topics such as activist anthropology, care, intersectionality, abolition, and reproductive injustice, this course explores how feminist anthropology, as a theory (framework of ideas), method (a set of tools to collect data), and practice (habits of fieldwork and daily life), is a problem-based approach to ethnography focused on the documentation and analysis of life experiences and structures of inequity.
