This foundational course explores concepts and methods in biology that apply to organisms, populations, communities, and ecosystems. This course emphasizes student engagement in the process of science and the interdisciplinary nature of modern biology, with the goal of understanding the natural world and human interactions within it. Students will develop science practice skills in research methods, critical thinking, data interpretation, quantitative reasoning, and communication in multiple formats.
