I would refer the student to the davidson library website and then direct them to the learn how to cite button. I would then show them the citation guide for APA style. Then I would show them the reference guide for journal articles. https://apastyle.apa.org/instructional-aids/reference-guide.pdf. I would then help them to find the correct information in the journal they are trying to cite, and put it. in the correct information that aligns with APA format.
