For this unit, we'll be focusing on reference. We'll be looking at what types of questions we answer as library consultants, how to provide user-centered services, and how and who to refer questions.
There are four assignments for this week:
- Assignment 1: Read the "Question Categories: How We Strategize our Answers" & Complete the corresponding What is Reference Quiz
- Assignment 2: Read the "RUSA Guidelines for Behavioral Performance of Reference and Information Service Providers 2023" and add an annotation to the reading.
- Assignment 3: Select an exercise from the "Exercises for RCOW #2" and Complete the RCOW #2 forum post (and respond to another consultant's post)
- Assignment 4: Log a sample question using the Research Consultant form.
Complete all assignments for this unit by 11:59pm 10/15

Review the sections on the Consultant LibInsight Form. Fill out a fake form to complete this task as if you were meeting with a student for a WRI 101 course who needs help finding at least one book in the library for an assignment and citing using Turabian citation style.
