This course serves as an introduction to economics. We will first concentrate on microeconomics, where you will explore how economists model decision-making from the perspective of individuals. These individuals may be either consumers or firms. Topics covered will include supply and demand, consumer and firm decision-making, externalities, and market failure. We will then shift to macroeconomics, focusing on how the economy functions at an aggregate level. Topics in this section will include economic output and growth, aggregate demand and supply, and the impact of fiscal and monetary policy on the economy.
