Read 2.3 and 2.4 (at least through p. 110).
Unless instructed otherwise, you may use a calculator in any way that is helpful to solve any "word problem" throughout the rest of the course. However, if you use it in some way other than simple numerical calculation, then you must show and/or explain what command (like Solve or Graph intersection) you used.

Hint 7: Trophozorites are single-cell organisms, so when they "divide" it doubles the population.
Hint 16: The "1 in n" chance is the number 1/n.
2.4; 1, 55, 61, 91, A and B below:
Prob A: Derive (show steps where it comes from) the trigonometric identity for 1 + cot2 x by using only identities on page 105. First change to sin and cos, simplify to get one function.
Prob B: In the triangle , find sin \(\theta\) in terms of x (with no trig function in answer).
